Enjoy returning favorites like farmstead laundry and grocery shopping, along with special themed activities that change throughout the summer. Each visit offers something new to discover.

Activities are included with general admission. Friends of Shawnee Town family members receive free admission all summer.

During program hours, guided tours are not available. Visitors are encouraged to explore at their own pace and engage with staff and volunteers throughout the site.

Life on a Truck Farm
June 23 and 25
Busy farm season ahead! Harvest veggies, hang laundry, feed chickens, and prepare lunch in the kitchen.

America’s 250th Birthday
June 30 and July 2
Party like it’s 1776 for America’s Birthday with cupcakes, games, a reading of the Declaration of Independence and more! Wear flag colors and pack a picnic!

Animal Farm
July 7 and 9
Discover animal life on a truck farm! Feed the chickens, and visit the barnyard’s sheep, goats, and milking cow.

It’s All Fun and Games
July 14 and 16
Play classic games of the 1920s! Tug of War, Sack Races, Horseshoes and MORE!

Keep It Clean

Summer farm cleanup! Wash the family car, tidy the house, and prep veggies for market.

Get a Job

Step into the shoes of Shawnee townspeople 100 years ago! Each visitor gets a surprise identity to explore.

Time for a Party!

Get the Farm ready to host a party! – that means making flower arrangements, mowing the lawn, and prepping food!
