Shawnee Duck Race

Shawnee Duck Race

The Shawnee Sister Cities’ Annual Duck Race will be held this year on Sunday, March 16th at 3:30 pm at Herman Laird Park, at 11500 Johnson Drive near Shawnee Town 1929.
Donate $5 for one duck entry in the race, $10 dollars for two entries, or $20 for four entries. Every $5 donation gets you one duck in the race – we provide the ducks and will pre-number them based on your purchase confirmation number.

The grand prize is $1,500 cash with more than 20 additional prizes from local Shawnee businesses if your duck is one of the first ones to make it across the finish line.

Children are welcome to collect the ducks and take them home AFTER they have crossed the finish line, but we request the removal of just one duck per family.

All proceeds benefit the Shawnee Sister Cities Committee’s educational programs and visitor exchanges between Shawnee and the sister cities of Erfurt, Germany; Pittem, Belgium; and Listowel, Ireland, as well as highlighting Shawnee’s Irish, Belgian, and German ancestry and heritage.
