Time Travelers
\nA man in a denim shirt talks to a group of childrenStep back in time and experience life in 1929 at Shawnee Town\u2019s Time Travelers Summer Series. Families are invited to explore interactive programs featuring hands-on activities at the historic truck farm and recreated downtown.<\/p>\n
Enjoy returning favorites like farmstead laundry and grocery shopping, along with special themed activities that change throughout the summer. Each visit offers something new to discover.<\/p>\n
Activities are included with general admission. Friends of Shawnee Town family members receive free admission all summer.<\/p>\n
During program hours, guided tours are not available. Visitors are encouraged to explore at their own pace and engage with staff and volunteers throughout the site.<\/p>\n

\nBusy farm season ahead! Harvest veggies, hang laundry, feed chickens, and prepare lunch in the kitchen.<\/p>\n
America\u2019s 250th Birthday

\nParty like it\u2019s 1776 for America\u2019s Birthday with cupcakes, games, a reading of the Declaration of Independence and more! Wear flag colors and pack a picnic!<\/p>\n
Animal Farm

\nDiscover animal life on a truck farm! Feed the chickens, and visit the barnyard\u2019s sheep, goats, and milking cow.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s All Fun and Games

\nPlay classic games of the 1920s! Tug of War, Sack Races, Horseshoes and MORE!<\/p>\n
Keep It Clean
\nJuly 21 and 23
\nSummer farm cleanup! Wash the family car, tidy the house, and prep veggies for market.<\/p>\n

\nStep into the shoes of Shawnee townspeople 100 years ago! Each visitor gets a surprise identity to explore.<\/p>\n
